Pasig City regularizes 40 nurses
MANILA, Philippines — The city of Pasig on Thursday regularized 40 nurses from government hospitals in honor of their contributions and sacrifices during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We regularized 40 hospital nurses today,” said Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto through his Twitter account.
“No incentive or benefit is enough to compensate for the sacrifices they have made during this pandemic. But we’ll continue to do our best and give them what we can,” he added.

This came after Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto promised in October that all government employees who have been serving for at least 10 years in the city will be regularized.
Prior to this, a total of 1,957 government employees have also been given regular employment status, bringing to over 3,000 the number of city workers who have been regularized since the start of Sotto’s term in 2019.
