MANILA, Philippines- The former head of the Cybercrime Division of the National Bureau of Investigation has joined Senator Panfilo Lacson’s Partido Reporma.

Ronald Aguto Jr., who is running for congressman of the lone district of Batanes, was sworn in by the party president, Davao Del Norte Representative Pantaleon Alvarez.

According to the party, Aguto “will push Partido Reporma’s advocacies for good governance and reform in the country’s northernmost province” while rallying support for its chairman, Lacson, and his running mate, Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III.

“With his expertise, Aguto is also expected to exchange ideas with Partido Reporma guest senatorial candidate “Idol” Raffy Tulfo, who has helped solved cybercrimes as part of his pro-labor advocacy,” the party said in a statement on Tuesday.
