MANILA, Philippines — The government has administered a total of 9.9 million COVID-19 vaccine doses during the national vaccination days, including the extended inoculation drive held some local government units, the Department of Health (DOH) said Saturday.
Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said a total of 8.01 million doses were administered on the first three days of the mass vaccination drive from November 29 to December 1.
Meanwhile, another 1.9 doses were administered on December 2 and 3.
“Itong ginawa nating national vaccination day was a huge success. We were targeting 9 million individuals to be vaccinated. As of yesterday ang tally natin ay 9.9 million ang nabakunahan mula Lunes hanggang Biyernes,” Vergeire said at the Laging Handa public briefing.

The Philippines aims to fully vaccinate 54 million Filipinos by yearend. So far, 37.35 million have been fully vaccinated, while 432,901 have received a booster dose.
The first round of the national vaccination days was set on November 29 to December 1. However, the national government said local government units can extend the mass vaccination drive until December 3.
