10 public schools in Cagayan Valley to start piloting in-person classes

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela––Ten public schools in Cagayan Valley will start their pilot limited in-person classes in an expanded implementation on Dec. 6.
Education Department records showed three of these schools are in the City of Ilagan, two in Santo Niño town in Cagayan, and five in Cauayan City.
Listed as pilot schools for the limited in-person classes are Tabang Integrated School and Namuccayan Integrated School in Sto Niño, Cagayan; San Antonio Elementary School, San Lorenzo Elementary School, and Santa Isabel Elementary School, all in the City of Ilagan; Villa Flor Elementary School, Cassap Fuera Elementary School; Maligaya Elementary School Annex, Devera Elementary School, and Pinoma National High School, all in Cauayan City in Isabela. These belong to 177 schools with pilot limited in-person classes.
Simulation classes were done before the in-person opening to ensure the safety of participants and attendees against the spread of COVID-19 and its variants.
Dr. Ben Paragas, Cagayan Valley regional education director, said the schools on the list had passed different safety assessments by the Departments of Health and Education.

Article continues after this advertisementThe first implementation on Nov. 15 of in-person classes in some schools was reportedly successful, with no cases of COVID-19 among participating learners and school personnel recorded during the first week.
Elementary schools from Kinder to Grade 3 and high school students from Grades 11 and 12 from technical-vocational subjects with 22 students were allowed to attend the classes.
