QC police nab 12 drug suspects, seize over P300,000 worth of ‘shabu’
MANILA, Philippines — Anti-narcotics operatives arrested 12 suspected drug personalities in Quezon City in three different buy-bust operations and seized a total of P313,200 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth), police said Wednesday.
The first operation was conducted at 5:20 p.m. on Tuesday, November 30, where four suspects were arrested in Barangay Payatas B.
Quezon City Police District (QCPD) identified the suspects as Meldoy Golondrina, 39; Christian Dela Cruz, 22; Rogelio Pagarugan, 53; and Jonathan Morillo, 33.
Authorities confiscated in this operation 19 grams of shabu with an estimated value of P129,200.
At 10:40 p.m. the same day, police officers launched a drug sting along Quirino Highway, Barangay Unang Sigaw, where two suspects identified as Jerome Doria, 26, and Joven Alarcon, 37, were apprehended. Here, the suspects yielded seven grams of shabu with estimated to be worth P47,600.
Article continues after this advertisementThe third buy-bust operation was conducted inside the Veterans Village, Barangay Pasong Tamo, at 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, where six more suspected drug pushers were collared.
Article continues after this advertisementPolice identified the six suspects as George De Guzman, 52; Asgary Paudac, 29; Raymond Pecha, 27; Warda Sandigan, 31; Val Rey Lecaroz, 31; and Alberto Macadangdang, 45.
Seized from the suspects were 18 sachets of shabu, which police said amounts to 136,400.00.
All 12 suspects will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, according to the QCPD.
