DOH: 157,636 jabbed vs COVID-19 on 1st day of nat’l vaccination drive in Ilocos
LAOAG CITY, Ilocos Norte—The Department of Health (DOH) in the Ilocos region on Tuesday (Nov. 30) said at least 157,636 individuals received their COVID-19 jabs on the first day of the national vaccination drive.
The updated official data was reported under the Vaccine Operation Reporting System as of 6 a.m. on Tuesday, the regional DOH said.
Figures reflected by the quick count of the DOH showed that by 11 a.m. on Monday, there were at least 35,871 individuals who received COVID-19 doses. By 3 p.m., at least 93,505 individuals were inoculated and by 7 p.m., 142,024 jabs were administered.
The final breakdown for the first day showed that Ilocos Norte injected at least 21,157 doses of COVID-19 vaccines, Ilocos Sur with 23,873 doses, La Union with 23,287, Pangasinan at 87,474, and Dagupan City at 1,845, according to DOH.
The 157,636 total COVID-19 jabs on the first day surpassed the highest daily jab recorded in the region before at 97,921, as shown by the data of the regional DOH.
