Swedes lose cash, gadgets to thieves

SIX Swedish nationals reported to the police the theft of   cash and valuables  from their hotel room in barangay Pusok, Lapu-Lapu City.

The tourists told police that they could not pinpoint who could be responsible for the theft.

The complainants said they had female visitors before the theft was discovered.

Aside from electronic gadgets, Karl Emanuel Lindquist, 24, Simon Sandebong, 24, Emil Odman, 27, Martin Bengsten, 25, Robin Thyshelrus, 25, and Dylan Mafachlen, 22, said they lost at least a combined P70,000.

The foreigners occupied two rooms.

The  foreigners said they went to Juliana Resto Bar at Mango Square on General Maxilom Ave. Cebu City where they met women and had a drinking spree.

Thyshelrus returned to the hotel first around first with a female companion. The woman identified herself as Jeny Sugo.

Mafachlen arrived at the hotel next along with two women.

Odman and Bengsten arrived around 6 a.m.

The foreigners said the women left the hotel past 7 a.m. on board a vehicle driven by one Jen Satures.

The women had left when the foreigners discovered that their cash and valuables were missing.

The foreigners reported the theft to the hotel management, which promised to conduct its own investigation.
