Muntinlupa City says 104.2% of target population vaccinated vs COVID-19

Muntinlupa City says 104.2% of target population vaccinated vs COVID-19

MANILA, Philippines — The city of Muntinlupa on Tuesday announced that more than 100 percent of its target population have received first doses of vaccines against COVID-19.

The local government said in a statement that as of November 19, the city has administered a total of 733,219 vaccine doses and that 402,013 individuals or 104.2 percent of its target population were already vaccinated against the new coronavirus disease.

Also, Muntinlupa City reported that 355,565 individuals, or 87 percent of its target population have now completed the primary series of vaccination against the virus.

Meanwhile, it noted that a total of 18,320 minors have received the COVID-19 vaccine as of November 21. Of the total, 17,773 minors got their first dose while 547 got fully vaccinated.

This, the local government said, is equivalent to 33 percent of the total population of 55,391 minors aged 12 to 17.

On the other hand, at least 247 healthcare workers in Muntinlupa City have so far received their COVID-19 booster shots.

Despite all these, however, the city government continued to encourage those who have not received their COVID-19 vaccine yet to register online and avail of the free jabs.

“Vaccination is still ongoing. Kindly register at vaccine.muntinlupacity.gov.ph/muncovac/ to get your protection against COVID-19,” it said.

As of November 22, Muntinlupa City has recorded 27,584 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 26,939 recoveries, 70 active cases, and 578 deaths.
