94% of Metro Manila’s target population fully vaccinated vs COVID-19

MANILA, Philippines — As many as 94 percent of Metro Manila’s target population are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, acting presidential spokesperson Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles reported on Tuesday.

During the Palace press briefing, Nograles said that 94.04 percent or 9,193,744 of Metro Manila’s 9.8 million target individuals have completed their COVID-19 vaccine doses as of November 22.

Accounting for more than 100 percent, 10,332,227 individuals have received their first dose in the capital region.

Nationally, 33,847,741 individuals are fully immunized. This is 43.88 percent of the 77 million target population.

Meanwhile, 42,632,392 individuals, accounting for 55.27 percent, have been administered with their first dose.

For booster shots, 42,599 were injected in the country. Of which, 16,993 doses were given in Metro Manila.

On Monday, the country was able to administer 921,924 COVID-19 jabs across the country.
