Dagupan’s active COVID-19 cases down to 25
DAGUPAN CITY – The number of active COVID-19 cases in this city dropped to 25 after peaking at 1,080 in September, data from the City Health Office (CHO) showed on Sunday (Nov. 21).
It was on Sept. 26 when local health authorities began to observe a downward trend in the city’s active infections.
The city posted zero new daily COVID-19 cases at least four times this month, the latest was on Nov. 20, said Dr. Ophelia Rivera, the city’s COVID-19 focal person.
According to the CHO, at least 19 of the 31 barangays in the city were already COVID-19 free.
Barangay Bonuan Gueset, where 815 residents contracted the disease, has only five active cases while Barangay Panta has only one active infection out of its 644 COVID-19 cases as of Nov. 20. INQ
