MANILA, Philippines — Presidential aspirant Senator Bong Go on Friday said he is willing to undergo a drug test following President Rodrigo Duterte’s claim that one of the presidential aspirants is a cocaine user.

In a statement, Go said he is willing to be tested for drug use “anytime, anywhere.”

(Even if it’s not required under the law, I am willing to volunteer to undergo drug testing. This is a way to show the voters that those who are running are fit for public service.)

(It’s the right of the people to know that the candidate is clean before they decide who to vote for. A candidate should not keep secrets so that the voters can choose.)

On Thursday, Duterte claimed that a presidential aspirant is using cocaine.

The President did not name the aspirant but hinted that the aspirant comes from a well-known and rich clan, whose family name means “strong” and is known for its patriarch.
