Woman steals Korean’s wallet
A Korean tourist brought to the police a 19-year-old woman he said befriended him then stole his wallet in a restobar.
Kim Min Woo, 31, immediately brought Mary Joy Libres of barangay Cogon to the Theft and Robbery Section (TRS) of Cebu City Police Office (CCPO).
Police later recovered the wallet from Libre’s live-in partner.
The Korean met Libres in an uptown restobar on Archbishop Reyes Avenue, Cebu City.
Libres befriended the tourist and they ended up drinking.
They later transferred to another bar for more drinks.

Article continues after this advertisementBut on the dance floor, he lost his wallet that contained P27,000.
The Korean said he immediately confronted Libres about the missing wallet. She denied taking it.
Kim then brought her to the police station, where the woman admitted her crime.
She said she was forced to steal because of poverty.
She called her live-in partner who returned the wallet.
But P3,000 was already missing from the cash inside. /correspondent Chito O. Aragon
