BAGUIO CITY––Two men were killed during shooting and hacking incidents Wednesday, Nov. 10, in Lagayan town, Abra province, police said.

Investigators said Johny Bautista, 39, a farmer, and Wilson Tunggalan, 48, a carpenter, had a heated argument while in a drinking session with Tunggalan’s brother, Dindo, 42, at Bautista’s house in Barangay Poblacion around 5: 30 p.m.

Bautista then left the brothers but returned minutes later with a shotgun, firing it at Wilson, who suffered a bullet wound to his nape.

Dindo came to the defense of his brother and attacked Bautista using a bolo.

Investigators said Bautista died on the spot. Wilson was taken to the Abra Provincial Hospital at the capital town of Bangued but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police immediately arrested Dindo. The shotgun and the bolo were recovered from the crime scene.
