MANILA, Philippines — The government will hold a three-day massive national COVID-19 vaccination drive from Nov. 29 to Dec. 1, President Rodrigo Duterte announced on Tuesday during his taped weekly “Talk to the People.”

He pointed out that the drive would coincide with the commemoration of Bonifacio Day on Nov. 30.

“What the government wants to convey here is that all those who get vaccinated are heroes. Those did not get vaccinated are ugly,” Duterte said in Filipino.

Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr., the national vaccine manager, earlier said the government was considering holding a three-day national vaccination drive.

As of Tuesday, a total of 29.8 million Filipinos have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, which accounts for 38.64 % of the target adult population.
