Decomposing body found inside garbage bag in Quezon

LUCENA CITY––The body of an unknown male was found Monday inside a plastic garbage bag in Sariaya town in Quezon province.

Sariaya police reported that Randy Piol of Barangay Talaan Aplayan found a plastic bag along the eco-tourism road around 8:30 a.m.

When he opened the bag, Piol found a male body in an advanced state of decomposition.

The body was wearing a white t-shirt and aged between 40 and 50 years old.

The 24.7-kilometer Quezon-Batangas eco-tourism road has become a dump of suspected victims of summary execution or “salvage.”

The police are conducting further investigation.

Last month, male and female bodies wrapped with packaging tape were found at the roadside.

Four empty shells and a bullet from a 9-mm gun were also found in the area.
