In a report by Radyo Inquirer 990AM, Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma, CBCP president Jose Palma said still many Filipinos are poor and the number of jobless have increased.

Instead of personal motives, the CBCP head said it would be better if the celebration will be used to promote development, common good and giving hope for the public.

The country will commemorate the 26th anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution on February 25.
