SWS: 64% of Filipinos now willing to get vaccinated vs COVID-19
MANILA, Philippines — Sixty-four percent of adult Filipinos are now willing to get vaccinated against COVID-19, higher than the previous 55 percent in June, according to the latest survey of the Social Weather Stations (SWS) released Friday.
“The latest percentage of those willing to get vaccinated is 9 points above the 55% in June 2021. It is twice as high as the 32% in May 2021, when SWS first surveyed about it,” the polling firm noted.
According to SWS, the 64 percent comprises 25 percent who are already fully vaccinated, 10 percent who have received one dose, 23 percent who said they will surely get vaccinated, and six percent saying they will probably get vaccinated.
On the other hand, 19 percent said they are uncertain if they want to be vaccinated against the new coronavirus while 18 percent said they are not willing to get a COVID-19 shot.

Article continues after this advertisementSWS said those uncertain about getting vaccinated against the virus fell from 24 percent in June and 35 percent in May, while those unwilling to receive the COVID-19 jab fell from 21 percent in June 2021 and 33 percent in May.
Article continues after this advertisementSWS conducted the survey from September 27-30 using face-to-face interviews of 1,500 adults nationwide – 300 each in Metro Manila, Visayas, and Mindanao, and 600 in Balance Luzon.
The survey’s sampling error margins are ±2.5 percent for national percentages, ±6 percent for Metro Manila, the Visayas, and Mindanao, and ±4 percent for Balance Luzon, according to the polling firm.
