P340k worth shabu seized from drug suspect in Naga City bust

LEGAZPI CITY — Some P340,000 worth of suspected shabu (crystal meth) was confiscated from a man arrested at a drug sting on Wednesday morning in Naga City in Camarines Sur province, a police report said.

Sergio Abinal, considered by police as a high-value suspect, was caught selling shabu to an undercover agent at around 7:47 a.m. in Barangay (village) Mabolo, said Police Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson.

The suspect yielded two knot-tied plastic sachets of shabu weighing 50 grams worth P340,000.

The arrested suspect was taken to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Authority (PDEA) custodial facility in Naga City while charges of possession and trading of illegal drugs under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being readied.
