MANILA, Philippines — Should presidential aspirant and Vice President Leni Robredo win in the 2022 elections, aid would reach Filipinos even in far-flung areas, her spokesperson Atty. Barry Gutierrez assured the public on Sunday.

During the BISErbisyong LENI program on DZXL Sunday morning, he explained why people in far-flung areas become emotional when they meet Robredo.

“Hindi kasi politiko si VP Leni. ‘Yun ‘yung simpleng dahilan para do’n.

(VP Leni is not a politician. Her background is a lawyer who is helping poor people. She is used to going to people, no matter how far.)

Gutierrez shared that there were times when Robredo walked half a day and rode a boat for five to six hours just to reach individuals needing assistance.

(When she reaches remote areas, there isn’t much of a crowd, but that is not what she is after. She is there to extend assistance where it is needed.)

(That is her perspective and that is her kind of service even before entered politics until she became a congresswoman and she is continuing it now that she is a vice president.)

Gutierrez said that Filipinos could expect the same service if Robredo is elected president.

(That is what we can expect when VP Leni wins. That kind of service where she focuses on the needy, no matter how far, aid will be provided because that is her perspective on service as part of the government.)
