Woman nabbed for alleged possession of illegal drugs, guns in Zambales
SAN ANTONIO, Zambales––Police arrested a 38-year-old woman after her house in the capital town of Iba allegedly yielded illegal drugs and firearms during a search Friday, Oct. 29.
Col. Romano Cardiño, provincial police director, identified the suspect as Maria Theresa Calimlim of Sitio Takipan, Purok 2, Barangay Palanginan.
Police found a .38-caliber Smith & Wesson, live ammunition for a .38-caliber revolver, two plastic sachets containing alleged “shabu” (crystal meth), and other drug paraphernalia inside her residence during the search at 1:15 a.m.
Judge Mari Chua of Regional Trial Court Branch 70 in Iba issued the search warrant.
Calimlim faces charges of violating the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Law and the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. INQ
