MANILA, Philippines — The Supreme Court (SC) has again extended the validity of all notarial commissions up to June 30, 2022.

“Accordingly, all notarial commissions granted in 2019 and whose validity had been previously extended until December 31, 2021, pursuant to the Court’s December 1, 2020, and June 22, 2021 Resolutions are deemed further extended, and shall thus remain valid for an additional period of six months beginning January 1, 2022, until June 30, 2022,” the resolution reads.

It likewise said that existing seals should be used by the notaries public covered by the extension during the six-month period.

The resolution has been circulated to the Office of the Bar Confidant, Integrated Bar of the Philippines, Philippine Bar Association, and Judicial Reform Initiative, according to the SC.

This is the third time the high court extended the validity of notarial commissions since the COVID-19 pandemic hit the country in 2020.

The high court first granted on December 1, 2020, the request for an automatic extension of the validity of existing notarial commissions to June 30 this year.

On June 22, the SC again extended the validity of notarial commissions up to December 31.
