Negros Occidental had 3,638 active COVID-19 cases on Monday and 11 new deaths, the PIMT reported.

“We are still very far from the end of this COVID so let’s continue to practice minimum health protocols,” Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson said on Monday.

The Department of Health also on Monday classified Negros Occidental as a low risk area for COVID-19 and lowered its alert level to 2.

Negros Occidental has so far vaccinated 419,822 residents against COVID-19 as of Monday, but the figure was expected to increase as more reports from towns and cities come in, Diaz said.
