Shabu worth over P1.7M seized in Bicol buy-busts

LEGAZPI CITY––Three drug personalities were arrested by police and yielded over P1.7 million worth of suspected shabu (crystal meth) in separate drug stings Sunday and Monday in the Camarines provinces, a report said.
In Naga City, Camarines Sur, Master Sergeant Tobias Bongon, Naga City police spokesperson, said Jonathan Fabi and Herbert Endaya, both 32, were arrested at 2:50 a.m. Monday in Barangay Peñafrancia.
The undercover agent bought two sachets of shabu worth P150,000 from the suspects, who were on the illegal drugs watch list.
During the body search, the authorities recovered another 200 grams of shabu from the suspects.
Bongon said 250 grams of shabu were confiscated worth about P1.7 million.
In Daet town in Camarines Norte, police arrested Ely Abria Maanio, 38, in a separate operation at 5:15 p.m. Sunday in Barangay VII.
Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson, said authorities recovered 10 sachets of shabu worth P40,000.
