Trike driver shot dead by drinking buddy in Batangas town
LUCENA CITY––A tricycle driver was shot and killed Sunday by his drinking buddy in San Juan town in Batangas province, a report said Monday.
San Juan police reported that Edwin Moraleja, 48, and Ruel Ilao, a farmer, had a heated argument while in a drinking session in Barangay Escribano around 6 p.m.
The quarrel prompted Moraleja to leave. But while walking home, Ilao, armed with an unknown handgun, repeatedly shot him in different parts of the body.

Ilao fled on foot, leaving Moraleja, who died on the spot.
The police launched an operation to find and arrest the suspect.
