PDEA destroys P20.6-million worth of marijuana plants in Cebu
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) destroyed marijuana plants worth P20.6 million in three operations on Saturday in Cebu.
According to a PDEA statement issued on Sunday, the first batch — consisting of 11,500 fully grown marijuana plants worth around P4.6 million — was destroyed in Sitio Quo, Barangay Gaas in Balamban.
The second batch — consisting of 25,000 plants worth around P10 million — was destroyed in Sitio Hikapon, Barangay General Climaco, Toledo City.
The third batch — consisting of 15,000 plants worth around P6 million — was destroyed in the same area.
The cultivators of the marijuana farms were identified as Rodrigo Cabilles, Ernie Lagaza, and Enyoy Zabate — all of whom remain at large.
