Marijuana plants worth P23.4M destroyed in Kalinga

TUGUEGARAO CITY––Authorities uprooted and burned P23.4-million worth of marijuana plants during a five-day operation in Tinglayan town, Kalinga province, police said Friday, Oct. 22

The marijuana plantations were discovered in Barangay Loccong by local police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency agents.

Found at the sites were 90,000 full-grown marijuana plants and 45 kilos of dried marijuana leaves and stalks.

But police said no cultivators were arrested during the operation between Oct. 16 to 20.
