MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines’ COVID-19 vaccine supply got another boost with the arrival of 698,600 AstraZeneca brand doses Friday morning.
The vaccines, procured by the private sector, were received at the Ninoy Aquino Internaitonal Airport by vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. and Presidential Adviser Joey Concepcion.
Concepcion said that some four million vaccine doses purchased by the private sector have so far been delivered.
He added that another 11 million doses are expected in the coming months.
“It will accelerate towards the Christmas period,” he said,
