MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections has advised voters seeking to verify the status of their registration and designated polling center to contact the local Comelec office in their municipalities, as the online precinct finder remains inaccessible.
Voters can either call or email the local offices for record validation before casting their votes on the 2022 national elections.
According to Comelec, the online service is currently being updated for improvement and is expected to be available on the Commission’s website soon.
It faced a data breach in 2016 and was relaunched in 2019.
Overseas voters, meanwhile, can contact the Office for Overseas Voting for checking.
As of September 29, Comelec has reported a total of 63 million registered voters, of which 9.2 million were new registrants.
The poll body allowed the extension of voter registration until October 30.
