MANILA, Philippines — The Senate has failed to arrest Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corp. executives, siblings Mohit and Twinkle Dargani after they were not found in their condominium units.

According to Senate Sergeant-at-Arms retired Maj. Gen. Rene Samonte, the Dargani siblings appear to already be “in hiding.”

“Hindi sila naaresto or sumuko so far. As of last night, wala sa tatlong condo na mga address nila,” Samonte said in a message to reporters on Wednesday when asked if the two have already been detained.

(They were not arrested or have surrendered so far. As of last night, they were not in their three condo addresses.)

“Mukhang in hiding na sila, kaya patuloy naming hahanapin sa mga susunod na araw,” he added.

(They appear to be in hiding, that’s why we will continue to look for them in the coming days.)

On Tuesday, the Dargani siblings were cited for contempt and ordered detained in the Senate over their “refusal” to submit documents earlier subpoenaed by the blue ribbon panel.

“Na-confirmed naman ng mga condo staff and security na sa kanila nga ang mga condo units sa BGC at Greenhills, pero sarado at walang tao kahapon hanggang gabi,” Samonte added.

(The condo staff and security of the condo units in BGC and Greenhills that they own the properties, but they were closed and no one was there from yesterday afternoon and last night.)
