MANILA, Philippines — Fair weather is expected throughout the country on Wednesday despite chances of rain due to isolated thunderstorms especially during the afternoon and evening, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

Isolated light rain is also forecasted in the Batanes and Babuyan Islands, despite the fair weather forecast because of the northeasterly surface windflow.

“Sa Metro Manila at nalalabing bahagi ng Luzon ay asahan pa rin natin ang maaliwalas na panahon sa umaga hanggang tanghali at may tiayansa lamang ng mga pagulan pagsapit ng hapon at ng gabi,” said Pagasa weather specialist Ana Clauren.

The same weather is expected to prevail over the entire Visayas and Mindanao as well as the same chances for rain caused by isolated thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening.

No storms and low pressure areas, meanwhile, are expected to form within the Philippine Area of Responsibility in the next two to three days.

Below are the forecasted temperature range in key cities/areas according to Pagasa for Wednesday:

  • Metro Manila: 24 to 32 degrees Celsius
  • Baguio City: 16 to 25 degrees Celsius
  • Laoag City:  24 to 33 degrees Celsius
  • Tuguegarao: 24 to 32 degrees Celsius
  • Legazpi City: 26 to 32 degrees Celsius
  • Puerto Princesa City: 25 to 32 degrees Celsius
  • Tagaytay: 21 to 30 degrees Celsius
  • Kalayaan Islands: 26 to 32 degrees Celsius
  • Iloilo City: 25 to 32 degrees Celsius
  • Cebu: 26 to 33 degrees Celsius
  • Tacloban City: 25 to 32 degrees Celsius
  • Cagayan De Oro City: 25 to 32 degrees Celsius
  • Zamboanga City: 25 to 34 degrees Celsius
  • Davao City: 25 to 33 degrees Celsius

No gale warning is also raised in the country’s coasts, said Pagasa’s Clauren, however, moderate to rough seas are still expected over the seaboards of extreme northern Luzon due to the influence of the northeasterly surface windflow.

The rest of the country’s surrounding coasts, on the other hand, will experience slight to moderate sea conditions.
