Fully vaccinated individuals vs COVID-19 now 24 million

At least 24 million in PH now fully vaccinated against COVID-19, says gov't

MANILA, Philippines — Over 24 million individuals in the Philippines are now fully vaccinated against COVID-19, presidential spokesperson Harry Roque reported on Tuesday.

Roque, also the spokesman of the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases, said that 24,498,753 individuals or 31.76 percent of the target of around 77 million are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Meanwhile, 28,284,601 individuals or 36.67 percent received their first dose.

Nationally, the country administered 52,783,354 total COVID-19 vaccines. Of which, 16,975,433 were injected to individuals in Metro Manila.

So far, 7,897,782 or 80.78 percent of the 9.8 million target population in Metro Manila are fully inoculated.

Those who received their first dose in the capital region, meantime, are now 9,077,651 or 92.85 percent of the target population.

On Monday, the government administered 479,449 COVID-19 vaccine doses.
