Angeles City logs 19 more COVID-19 cases, 1 death
ANGELES CITY – The city government here recorded 19 more COVID-19 cases and a single death on Sunday, Oct. 17.
It also registered 28 new recoveries, bringing its active cases to 366.
In its latest bulletin, the city government said the fatality was a resident of Balibago, this city’s biggest village.
Sto. Domingo village has the most active cases at 43, Cutcut with 29, and Balibago with 27.
The city has recorded a total of 12,338 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic broke out last year. Of these, 11,469 have recovered, while 503 have died.
Article continues after this advertisementThe city government continues to vaccinate eligible residents through its “Ronda Bakuna” mobile bus clinic and “Sundo Bakuna” programs.
Article continues after this advertisementIts latest vaccination data on Oct. 9 showed that 160,582 or 49.5 percent of the target individuals here had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Some 174,612 residents or about 53.9 percent of the at least 324,000 eligible individuals have also received the initial dose of the vaccines.
The city government intends to inoculate at least 70 percent of its 462,928 population based on the 2020 census. INQ
