MANILA, Philippines — Fair weather is expected in most parts of the country on Tuesday with chances of rain showers caused by isolated thunderstorms, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

Meanwhile, Batanes and Babuyan Islands will experience cloudy skies and rain showers due to the northeasterly surface wind flow.

(The rest of Luzon will have clearer skies, but expect a high chance of short-term rain showers, especially in the afternoon and evening, caused by isolated thunderstorms.)

The same fair weather is expected to prevail over the entire Visayas, while Mindanao will have hotter and more humid weather. Isolated thunderstorms, however, should still be expected during the afternoon and evening.

The forecast temperature range in key cities/areas according to Pagasa for Tuesday:

Metro Manila: 25 to 32 degrees Celsius

Laoag City:  24 to 32 degrees Celsius

On the other hand, gale warning is still raised over the seaboards of Batanes, Calayan, Babuyan Islands, Cagayan, Isabela, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur due to the effects of the northeasterly surface wind flow.

(The waves are big in the mentioned areas, so fishermen are still advised not to sail on the said shores.)

The rest of the country’s surrounding coasts, meanwhile, will experience moderate to rough seas.
