NCR’s COVID-19 reproduction number drops to 0.57 — Octa Research
MANILA, Philippines — The reproduction number of COVID-19 cases in Metro Manila is now down to 0.57, the Octa Research Team said on Monday.
Based on Octa’s COVID update released on Twitter on Sunday, the reproduction number dropped from 0.58 on Sunday to 0.57 on Monday
Metro Manila logged 1,159 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, the lowest since July 28, Octa noted.
Numbers continue to improve in the NCR. 7-day average at 1,448 and positivity rate at 9%. From October 10 to 16, the National Capital Region (NCR) average of new COVID-19 cases dropped from 1,681 to 1, 448.
Article continues after this advertisementMeanwhile, the one-week growth rate stood at -17 percent, Octa said.
Article continues after this advertisementThe average daily attack rate (ADAR) or the number of new daily cases per 100,000 decreased from 11.87 to 10.23.
ADAR pertains to the number of new daily cases per 100,000.
The healthcare utilization rate and intensive care unit occupancy rate were logged at 44 percent and 59 percent, respectively, as of October 17.
The average testing positivity rate as of October 17 was at nine percent in NCR, Octa Reearch said.
According to Octa, Metro Manila remains under moderate risk.
