MANILA, Philippines — The Pasig City General Hospital (PCGH) is set to begin vaccination of children aged 12 to 17 with co-morbidities against COVID-19 on Friday, October 15.

The PCGH is one of six pilot sites for the rollout of the pediatric COVID-19 vaccination in the country.

The other pilot sites identified by the Department of Health were the National Children’s Hospital, Philippine Heart Center, Philippine General Hospital, Fe Del Mundo Medical Center, and Makati Medical Center.

After two weeks, the government will expand the vaccination of children to other areas and regions.

So far, only the US-made COVID-19 vaccines of drug companies Pfizer and Moderna have been approved for use on minors by the country’s Food and Drug Administration.
