Battalion Commander Melvin Flores said the suspect’s arrest was a manifestation that the residents of Guihulngan are willing to help the government in ending armed conflict.

“I sincerely appreciate the residents of Barangay Calupa-an for giving valid and true information on the presence of this personality to AFP,” Flores said.

“I am calling the remaining rebel to surrender, lay down their arms, and avail government program to be with your family in your own home and not in jail.”
