SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — The occupancy rate of all the four hospitals treating COVID-19 patients in this province was back to a safe level, data from the Department of Health (DOH) showed on Thursday (October 14). The President Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Hospital (PRMMH), the main quarantine facility of the province in the capital town of Iba, posted a bed occupancy rate of less than 60 percent. Two district hospitals in the towns of Candelaria and San Marcelino, and the Sta. Cecilia Medical Center in Iba also registered less than 60-percent occupancy rate. At least 175 of the 296 beds dedicated to COVID-19 patients in these four hospitals remained vacant. To date, the province has recorded 9,306 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic started last year, and only 688 of them remained active. Zambales also registered 8,511 recoveries and 462 deaths.
