Bello’s brother files COC for senator; Labor chief not ruling out replacing him
MANILA, Philippines — Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III on Wednesday confirmed that his brother filed a certificate of candidacy (COC) for senator.
A certain Silvestre Bello Jr. ran as senator under PDP-Laban on Saturday’s last day of COC filing.

“Kapatid ko ‘yun, hindi ko naman sya mapigilan,” Bello said in an online briefing when asked if he know who is Silvestre Bello Jr..
(He’s my brother. I can’t stop him.)
In response to a question about the possibility of a replacement, Bello said: “Nandyan ang possibility, that’s a possibility, kasi depende nga talaga kung ano, what will be good for our country.”
