Gov’t reaches 30% of COVID-19 target vaccination with 23.1M individuals fully immunized

MANILA, Philippines — Around 23.1 million individuals are now fully vaccinated against COVID-19, Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) and Palace spokesperson Harry Roque reported on Monday.

During the Palace briefing, Roque said that of the 77 million target population, 30.06 percent or 23,186,969 people are already fully immunized against the virus, while 26,486,522 individuals or 34.34 percent have received their first dose as of October 10.

The country has administered a total of 49,673,491, Roque said.

In Metro Manila, 7,579,220 individuals or  77.53 percent of the 9.8 million target population  are already fully inoculated.

Of the total 16,500,247 vaccine doses administered in the capital region, 8,921,027 or 91.25 percent were injected with their first dose, the spokesperson noted.

Roque urged Filipinos to get vaccinated anew, noting that all vaccine brands that passed the Food and Drug Administration and World Health Organization are safe.
