MAN COLLARED IN DRUG RAID

A MAN was arrested with several packs of suspected shabu  in a raid in his house in barangay Lahug, Cebu City, yesterday.

Police said  Hermigildo “Bebot” Lisondra, 51,  had a medium pack and 10 small packs of shabu and  drug-sniffing paraphernalia.

A .38 revolver was also found in his house.

Charges for possession of illegal drugs and for illegal possession of firearm will be filed against him.

Lisondra  was detained at the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Central Visayas (CIDG-7).

Police said Lisondra admitted his involvement in  drug selling then recanted his admission when he was brought to the police precinct,.

MAN STABBED BY NEIGHBOR

A TRICYCLE driver was stabbed and wounded by his neighbor in barangay Opao, Mandaue City.

A bloodied Rod Roliorata ran to the Opao police precinct after he was stabbed by Felipe Igot, 51, last Monday night.

Roliorata told police that he was on his way to a store when Igot suddenly stabbed him in the abdomen.

Opao police tracked down Igot and arrested him.

Igot admitted stabbing  his neighbor saying Roliorata challenged him to a fistfight.

Igot was detained at the Opao police station pending the filing of a frustrated murder case against him./CORRESPONDENT NORMAN V. MENDOZA

THEFT IN TALISAY COMELEC  OFFICE

POLICE are investigating a report of  theft in  the office of the Commission on Election (Comelec) in Talisay City, southern Cebu.

Efren Arnejo Jr., election assistant officer, reported that a voltage regulator was missing.

The Comelec office  is located in  Talisay City Hall,  which has 24-hour security guards.

Police said there were  no signs of forced  entry in the office.
