Keiz BJ-Phoenix Cyclomax Titan motocross on Sunday
SOME OF THE COUNTRY’S best motocross riders will compete head-to-head in the fifth leg of the Keiz BJ-Phoenix Cyclomax Titan Motocross Competition this Sunday in Upper Pagsabungan, Mandaue City.
The race is headed by motocross patron and veteran rider Siegfred Ornopia, who hopes to revive the passion of Cebuanos for motocross.
“It has been almost 10 years that a major race of motocross was held here. That’s why we are very desperate to bring it back because we know how thirsty Cebuanos are for motocross,” said Ornopia during yesterday’s official launching of the race held at the Family’s Choice Restaurant in Gorordo Avenue.
Joining Ornopia were Geoffrey Viñalon of the Phoenix Petroleums, Edmund Pingkian of Haojue Motors and Romeo Ouano.
Racers from around the country are expected to compete against local elite riders in this event. Spearheading the local elite riders will be the multi-awarded 20-year-old Jon Eleazar Adlawan and the Abellar siblings, Juvenille and Jovannie./CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
