Bohol Rep. Chatto files COC for reelection
TAGBILARAN CITY — Rep. Edgar Chatto of Bohol’s 1st district on Tuesday morning filed his certificate of candidacy (COC) for the same position at the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
Chatto, who is seeking a second term, is running under the National Unity Party.
He was accompanied by his wife, incumbent Balilihan Mayor Maria Pureza, and daughter, lawyer Esther Patrisha.
“We are grateful for the trust and confidence that we have been given to serve the Boholanos in the past years. It is our hope that we can continue to pursue our plans, programs, and activities, including important legislation, towards more growth and development for Bohol with the Padayon Bol-anon Team,” said Chatto.
Chatto previously served as the representative of the first district from 2001 to 2010. He was also a governor for three terms from 2010 to 2019, the 25th governor of the province.
Since 2019, he has served as chairman of the House Committee on Climate Change and vice chairman of the House Special Committee on Persons with Disabilities and Tourism.
