Cloudy skies, scattered rains over most parts of PH on Sunday — Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — Cloudy skies and scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail in the Caraga and Davao regions while Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy skies and isolated rains on Sunday, according to the the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

The LPA was spotted 515 kilometers east of Davao City as of 3 a.m.

Pagasa added that the LPA is likely to develop into a tropical cyclone within two days.

“Ayon nga sa ating latest analysis, base sa ating latest available data, itong low pressure area na ito ay tumataas ‘yung tsansa na ma-develop maging bagyo within 48 hours. Ito po ay patungo dito sa bahagi ng Eastern Visayas,” Pagasa weather specialist Grace Castañeda said.

(Based on our latest analysis and latest available data, the LPA has an increasing chance of developing into a tropical cyclone within 48 hours while heading to Eastern Visayas.)

Meanwhile,  No gale warning is raised over the country’s seaboards, allowing fisherfolk to venture out at sea.

“Para naman sa kalagayan ng mga dagat-baybayin ng ating bansa ay mananatiling banayad hanggang sa katamtaman ‘yung kalagayan ng mga dagat-baybayin natin,” Castañeda mentioned.
