563 Tacloban City Jail inmates fully vaxxed vs COVID-19
TACLOBAN CITY, Philippines — All 563 inmates at the Tacloban City Jail are now fully vaccinated.
The inmates had their first dose last Sept. 3 and were given their second dose of the vaccine on Friday, October 1.
The vaccination of the inmates is part of the mobile vaccination campaign of the Tacloban City government as pushed by Mayor Alfred Romualdez.
The mobile vaccination campaign also visits different barangays and the city public market.
So far, 59,114 city residents have received their first dose. At least 52,194 have been fully vaccinated.
As of Saturday, Tacloban City has 180 active cases of COVID-19. Since the start of the pandemic, the city recorded 5,718 COVID-19 cases; 5,392 recoveries, and 128 deaths.
