Makati traffic enforcers to attend charm school
PULL over and give us your license, please. A select group of Makati traffic enforcers will attend a “self management workshop” at personality development school John Robert Powers on Thursday and Friday as part of the city government’s skills enhancement program, according to its human resource chief. City personnel officer Vissia Marie Aldon said the 30 enforcers picked to attend the workshop were expected to share their knowledge with 100 other traffic personnel. “We are not doing this to address problems,” Aldon quickly clarified when asked if the course for traffic enforcers were needed to deal with complaints. She said the officers were among frontline city government employees which meant they interacted regularly with people, particularly motorists caught violating the city’s strict traffic rules. The official said the enforcers underwent a training program with the charm school at least three years ago and the courses produced positive results. Miko Morelos
