Cops nab high-value drug suspect, cohort, in Rizal bust
LUCENA CITY––Police arrested a “high-value” drug suspect and his cohort and seized over P176,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) in Taytay town in Rizal province Tuesday night, a report said Wednesday.
The Calabarzon police reported that anti-narcotics agents collared Johnny Sumilang and Peter Osting in a buy-bust operation around 10:40 p.m. in Barangay Muzon.
The suspects yielded eight plastic sachets of shabu (crystal meth) weighing 25.9 grams with an estimated Dangerous Drugs Board value of P176,120.
The report tagged Sumilang as a “high-value individual” in the illegal drug business.
Authorities also confiscated the motorcycle used by the suspects in their drug trade.
The suspects were detained and charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
