ILIGAN CITY—Family feud is eyed as the motive behind a shooting incident just outside the campus of Mindanao State University in Marawi City on Monday evening (Sept. 27).
A spot report from the university’s Department of Security Services said one was killed while three others were wounded in the attack at around 7 p.m. on Monday in Barangay Lomidong, also known as Barrio Salam.
According to the report, the victims were inside a restaurant when the suspects, identified as Sohaily Arindig Ampuan and Raffy Madale, appeared and shot them.
Samanoding Menor Macadaag, 32, a resident of Marantao town who was temporarily living in Salam, suffered several gunshot wounds in different parts of his body resulting in his death.
Macadaag’s two companions, identified as Salic Macatanto Alawi Sarip, 58, and Moh’d. Salic Ampuan Salic Jr., 20, were wounded. An unidentified child who was a customer in a nearby store was also wounded.
Monday’s shooting is the second such incident since the Sept. 14 killing of two students inside the university campus.
