MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga––Some 11,000 or 70.8 percent of the total number of police officers in Central Luzon had been vaccinated fully against COVID-19, data from the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) Health Service showed on Tuesday, Sept. 28.

It said 15,062 uniformed men and women, who comprise 97.9 percent of the police force in the region, have also received their first dose of the vaccine that included AstraZeneca, Sinovac, Pfizer, Moderna, Sputnik V, and Sinopharm.

The health service said the regional police has 15,526 uniformed officers, with 12,765 of them under it, and the 2,761 belong to the support units of the national police.

The Regional Medical and Dental Unit at Camp Julian Olivas in San Fernando City has inoculated 2,665 police officers.

The local governments, where they are assigned, have vaccinated 12,397 as essential frontline personnel.
