MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga––All hospital beds and quarantine and isolation facilities for COVID-19 patients in Aurora province are fully occupied and could no longer accommodate other individuals who tested positive for COVID-19, an official said.
In a statement on Sept. 25, Gov. Gerardo Noveras said even the tents within the provincial hospital’s compound were filled with patients.
“Not only the quarantine and isolation facilities are full, but even the hospital, even the tents that we put up there for our patients are occupied. That is why we installed a dome tent there to prepare for the possible increase of patients,” he said.
Aurora’s active COVID-19 cases rose to 311 after recording on Sunday, 23 new patients, 40 recoveries, and zero deaths.
Since the onset of the pandemic in 2020, the province had registered 2,832 COVID-19 cases, of which 2,390 have recovered while 131 have died.
