MANILA, Philippines — Anti-narcotics operatives arrested two suspected drug pushers in separate drug stings in Las Piñas, seizing a total of 10 kilograms of illegal drugs worth P68 million.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) identified the suspects as Jealal Shaikalabi Mimbalawag, 23 years old and Arabilla Leono, 29 years old.
According to PDEA, Mimbalawag was arrested at around 5:00 p.m. along C5 Extension, Barangay Manuyo I, Las Piñas City. Authorities confiscated five kilograms of ‘shabu’ from his vehicle.
Meanwhile, on the same day, a follow-up operation was conducted in Countryhomes, Woodsrow-1, Talon Dos, where Leano was apprehended and another five kilograms of shabu was seized.
The pieces of evidence were brought to the PDEA Laboratory Service for qualitative and quantitative analysis while the suspects are now temporarily detained at the PDEA Jail Facility and will be charged for violation of the Republic Act (RA) 9165, or the “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.’’
The operation was jointly conducted by operatives of PDEA and the Philippine National Police.
